Make paint touch-ups easier with Dulux
While effective touch-up is dependent on technique and
external factors, the choice of paint is also important.
Dulux Professional® Ceiling has been designed
to make this job easier through its high opacity
and coverage.
Ensure the area to be touched up is clean and dry for better paint adhesion.
Use the same can of paint originally used on the ceiling to minimise any colour and/or sheen difference.
Use the same type of roller sleeve and nap length as used for original paintwork to minimise surface texture differences.
Ensure the roller has just enough paint to cover the damaged area because excess paint may cause gloss and opacity variations.
It is not recommended to use a brush to touch up rolled areas. Brush marks will be visible and cause a gloss difference.
However, if touching up with a brush use a dry roller to get the same stipple pattern that the ceiling already has.
