Surface preparation
Previously painted surface

All timber surfaces should be thoroughly clean, dry and free from wax, oil, grease and other contaminants. Wash with mineral turpentine if needed to remove wax and grease, allow to dry and lightly sand dressed surfaces with "00" paper or finer, always in direction of the grain.

How to apply
Brush, Roller

Putty knife.
Apply to holes, cracks or blemishes with a putty knife taking care to push the putty into the cavity. Fill deep holes in thin layers. Do not smear into surrounding areas. Wipe off excess with a damp cloth. Allow to dry. Lightly sand across a broad area or along the length of a board. Avoid sanding vigorously or in spots, as this can close the grain and create uneven patches when subsequently stained or varnished.
