Clearcoating afterwards:
Allow Wood Wash to dry for 72 hours before applying any clear water-based finish coats. We recommend Porter’s Clearcote. Prior to using Porter’s Clearcote please refer to our specification sheet for Tannin Check.
Porter’s Tannin Check has been designed to be used as a pre-treatment to inhibit tannin migration. Timbers most prone to tannin staining include oregon, jarrah, merbau and western red cedar, and should be applied over the Wood Wash, and prior to application of Clearcote.
