How to apply
Brush, Roller

Note do not shake can. Stir thoroughly with a broad flat paddle before and during use. Apply product with a pad applicator, good quality brush or 6 - 10mm nap roller.

Bare timber floors
Use a brush to cut in around the edge of one section at a time. Apply along the length of 3 - 4 boards, keeping a wet edge to prevent lap marks. Allow to dry for a minimum of 3 hours. For best results, lightly sand to remove any grain raise using 240 grit paper. Remove all sanding dust. Apply the 2nd & 3rd coats as above.

Previously coated floors
Apply 2 coats of CFP Floor Water Based working along the length of the boards. Allow 3 hours between coats.

Staining bare timber floors
If staining is required, apply Cabot's Stain & Varnish Water Based with a 6 - 10mm nap roller first, then coat with Cabots CFP Floor Water Based following application instructions above.

Maintenance
Cabot's Floor Clean is recommended for regular cleaning. Maintain the sheen and appearance of the floor using Cabot's Floor Polish. This will prolong the life of the floor coating.

Walk on light traffic after 16 hours. Normal traffic after 72 hours

Slip resistant finish
A slip resistant finish can be obtained by applying the following system: Tested to AS 4586:2013 Slip resistance classification of new pedestrian surface materials.

To achieve a WET Pendulum rating of P4
- 1 coat Cabot's CFP Floor Water Based Satin.
- 1 coat Cabot's CFP Floor Water Based Satin, with 5% Intergrain UltraGrip added.
- 1 coat Cabot's CFP Floor Water Based Satin.

Intergrain UltraGrip must be added at a rate of 5%. That is:
- 200g of UltraGrip for 4L of coating
- 500g of UltraGrip for 10L of coating

When UltraGrip is added, the sheen or gloss level of the resultant coating will be lower than normal. When using UltraGrip, do not sand the coat that contains the UltraGrip. When using UltraGrip with Cabot's CFP Floor Water Based, decant CFP into another clean container before adding the UltraGrip. While stirring, add UltraGrip slowly to avoid generating dust. Stir in UltraGrip thoroughly with a flat blade stirrer or drill mixer until fully mixed in and lump-free. Stir regularly during use.

Maintaining a slip resistant finish
In order to maintain a slip resistant finish, the floor must be recoated as the slip resistance decreases due to wear.
When re-coating is required
- Clean the surface with Cabot's Floorclean, following label instructions.
- Allow the floor to fully dry.
- Lightly sand the existing coating.
- Remove all sanding dust.
- Apply 1 coat of Cabot's CFP Floor Water Based Satin with 5% Intergrain UltraGrip added. Follow label instructions.
