In hot weather, rinse brush every half hour or use two and keep one standing in water. Do not apply if temperature is under 10°C, or when temperature of surface may fall below 10°C during the drying period, otherwise film formation will not be complete and a fall-off in properties will result.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry prior to application. Brush down to remove dust. Stir well with a broad flat stirrer prior to application. Previously painted surfaces, must be sanded to remove loose, peeling, flaking or chalky paint. Sand all gloss and semi gloss surfaces to a dull finish and wipe down with a damp cloth to remove surface dust. Spot prime bare areas.
Airless Spray: Should be applied using a "cross-hatch" method to produce a wet film build of 150 to 200 microns. This involves holding the gun approximately 300mm from the wall and spraying an even coat horizontally across the substrate with a 50% overlap. Spraying on the next coat vertically completes application. An airless sprayer capable of applying 1.8 litres per minute at the pressure of 2800psi through a 17 to 21 thou tip should be used. A 60 mesh in-line filter can be used. DO NOT USE FINE PAINT FILTERS.
Brush, roller, conventional or airless spray.
Brush & Roller: Apply using a regular brush or paint roller with a nap of approximately 8mm. Apply a light coat to the entire substrate to entire substrate and allow to dry for approximately 30 minutes before applying a full coat.
Do not tint.
Sanding: Sand to a smooth surface free of any sign of peel or texture with 180 to 220 grit sandpaper.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use. Apply direct from the can. May be applied to dampened surfaces.
