Dulux PRECISION® Coatings Remover is a biodegradable and water-based product, which is designed to remove multiple layers of architectural and industrial coatings from interior\/exterior surfaces. It's safer to use than traditional mechanical coatings removal systems, as it's designed to trap aged coatings in a wet state, preventing airborne dust particles.

Application conditions
For best results, surface temperatures should be 10–30°C and approximatively 50% relative humidity. Product efficacy will be substantially reduced if applied outside of these conditions.
Test patch
Always perform a small inconspicuous test area on each type of substrate and paint coating prior to full application. Testing before beginning any project is the best way to ensure product effectiveness. Test patches should be used to determine the proper dwell time and remover thickness to apply for the specific application. Failure to do a test patch may result in need for more than one application, increasing costs and extending project timelines. Refer to Dulux Precision Test Patch Kit for further instructions.
Limitations
May not be suited to the removal of some epoxies, lead containing paints and primers as well as some high performance coatings. Do not use the Dulux Precision Coatings Remover range on plastics, vinyl, acrylic sheeting, plasterboard, composite decking, EIFS, MDF, particle board, laminates, veneers and rubber. These surfaces will suffer from irreversible swelling or destruction of the substrate surface if exposed to any of the Precision Coating remover range.
Take care when using this product over Colorbond®/ColorSteel® surfaces as testing has shown that if Dulux Precision Coatings Remover is allowed to dwell on these surfaces too long it is capable of damaging the Colorbond®/ColorSteel® coating and taking it back to bare metal.
Application via spray
Dulux PRECISION Coatings Remover may be applied via conventional and airless spray. However, due to the lightly corrosive nature of the product, it may lead to faster wear & tear of the spray machine and may void the manufacturer’s warranty. The Graco Mark V is the only approved sprayer for applying Green. For more details and specific information, please contact your Dulux representative.
NB: At the end of each day or at the end of the job rinse the spray machine thoroughly with water to prevent any of the Precision Coatings Remover drying on the surface or within the hopper and gun.
Disposal
Always investigate and confirm disposal means allowed in the jurisdiction that you are operating before starting a job. It is important to know what is allowed and the costs of doing so in order to properly quote the finished removal costs.
Always perform a small inconspicuous test on each type of surface/paint coating to be removed before general use to determine compatibility, yield, proper thickness and dwell time needed.
Remove any loose or peeling paint prior to application. Mask/protect areas where stripping is not desired.
Dulux Precision Coatings Remover can be easily applied by brush, roller, trowel or spray*.

Allow the paste to dwell on the coatings for 1–72 hours, depending on the number of coats and the type of coatings being removed. Refer to test patch validation results for accurate dwell time. In most situations the coatings can be removed in a single application but there will be projects where coating chemistry and film build contribute to a second application for complete removal. That second application generally involves less product and shorter dwell interval.
After the appropriate dwell time, remove the coating remover paste and the old coating using a scraper. Agitate surface residue with a stiff nylon brush or scouring pad, paying attention to crevices, grooves, and cracks. Exterior stripped surfaces should be rinsed thoroughly with a power washer. Interior surfaces can be rinsed using a sponge and water or denatured alcohol.
Collect paste and paint residue in plastic bags and dispose of in compliance with government regulations. Clean up sprayer by running water or denatured alcohol through the equipment soon after application has been completed. Allow surface to dry thoroughly before repainting.
If the Precision Coating Remover looses its bright Green colour it is an indication that the Coating Remover has "dried out". When the Coating Remover is in this state it is ineffective and will require a recoat prior to attempting to remove the paint underneath.
