Product specification
Surfaces
  • Timber and masonry surfaces.
Precautions and limitations

All preparation and painting must conform to AS2311: The Painting of Buildings.
Do not apply if the surface temperature is below 10C or conditions indicate it will fall below 10C during the drying period. Do not apply externally when weather is doubtful, or late in the afternoon during winter, as frost, rain or dew on the uncured undercoat may result in loss of film integrity and impair durability of the system.

Performance guide
  • Weather: Excellent when used as part of an approved system
  • Heat Resistance: Up to 120C. Prolonged exposure to 120C heat will cause embrittlement.
  • Water: Excellent resistance to condensation and water splash as part of system.
  • Solvent: Resistant to alcohol & hydrocarbons. Film is susceptible to attack from strong solvents.
  • Abrasion: Good when topcoated.
Surface preparation
Previously painted surface

All surfaces must be thoroughly dry, clean and free of all loose dirt, surface chalk, grease, mould, mildew and wax, loose or flaking paint. For weathered timber, sand back to fresh timber and dust off. For interior timber, lightly sand and dust off. Can be used on most interior and exterior masonry surfaces but other prepcoats such as Dulux 1 Step Acrylic Primer Sealer Undercoat would be preferable.

New interior set plaster: Use Dulux Sealer Binder.

How to apply
Brush, Roller

Brush, roller, conventional or airless spray.
Stir thoroughly before and during use.

Brush/Roller: Apply by brush or roller, full even coats direct from the container. If necessary up to 50ml per litre of mineral turpentine may be added to ease application.

Airless/Conventional Spray

Airless/Conventional Spray: Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment. If necessary thin up to 100ml per litre of DULUX Spraying Thinner to aid atomisation. Clean brushes and rollers with mineral turpentine prior to and after use.

How to dispose responsibly
Unused paint
Unused paint: Do not pour leftover paint down the drain. Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper and allowed to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections. Empty paint containers: Leave empty paint containers open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container via steel can recycling programs. Disposal of empty paint containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities. Check with your local council first. Do not reuse container unless thoroughly decontaminated.
