Occasionally an apparently sound old paint film will lose adhesion when recoated, particularly if the new paint is darker in colour. To avoid this , check the adhesion by cutting an "X" through the film with a razor blade or trimming knife. Press cellulose tape firmly over the cut and rip it off. If the old paint comes off with the tape, all paint should be removed before repainting.
Do not apply if surface temperature is below 10C or when the temperature may fall below 10C during the drying period.
Rain or dew settling on the film during the drying period will damage the film.
Where roofs are used for the collection of drinking water it is recommended to disconnect tank inlets to allow the first few showers of rain to wash away surface active agents from the paint.
Caution - Check with your substrate manufacturer before painting colours of LRV<40
