All preparation and painting must conform to AS2311: The Painting of Buildings.
Tinting of the product is not recommended as colour accuracy and reproducibility cannot be guaranteed.
Do not apply if temperature is under 10C, or when temperature of surface may fall below 10C during the drying period, otherwise film formation will not be complete and a fall-off in properties will result.
For bare set plaster and powdery surfaces use an appropriate sealer binder and for tannin rich interior timber, use Dulux Professional Acrylic Primer.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry prior to application. Brush down to remove dust.
Previously painted surfaces
Surfaces must be sanded to remove loose, peeling, flaking or chalky paint. Sand all gloss and semi gloss surfaces to a dull finish and wipe down with a damp cloth to remove surface dust.
Paperfaced plasterboard, MDF, masonry and suitably primed interior timber
Fill imperfections with a suitable filler, sand smooth and dust off. Allow concrete to cure for a minimum of 28 days before applying this product.
For bare set plaster and powdery surfaces use an appropriate sealer binder and for tannin rich interior timber, use Dulux Professional Acrylic Primer.
Stir well before use.
Thinning: Not usually required. Under hot conditions application can be eased by thinning with up to 50ml water per litre.
Airless/Conventional Spray
Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment.
Airless Spray Advice
Tip size: 517
Pressure: 2000–2300psi
Apply one coat of Dulux Professional Fast Finish Undercoat & Ceiling Flat by airless spray to all chosen substrates.
For ceilings, apply a second coat of Dulux Professional Fast Finish Undercoat & Ceiling Flat by spray as the finished coat. Back rolling of the second coat may be performed to achieve the desired finish.
For all areas other than ceilings, apply the suitable topcoats to finish.
Please note that in each instance, the first coat should be sufficiently dry before applying subsequent coats.
Drying times on a day of around 25°C and 50% humidity
Touch Dry - 30 mins
Re-coat - 2 hours
Note: Under cooler or humid conditions allow longer times. Ensure temperature is above 10°C during application and drying.
Allow 24 hours drying time if re-coating with a solvent based paint.
For the optimal coating performance on ceilings, Dulux recommends an equivalent 3 coat system be met at all times.
